Product availability and quantity. Stock settings

This guide will cover the availability and quantity of products in your store and the related settings. 

You can set the quantity of your product in the inventory on the "Products" - "Catalog" - "Edit Product Card" page. In the "Qty" field, you need to specify the actual amount of your product.

If your product has attributes, you can set the quantity of the product separately for each attribute. For example, 10 red items and 5 yellow ones. The inventory settings allow you to choose which quantity will be considered the main one - the one specified in the "Texts" tab or the sum of quantities in the "Attributes" tab, if your attribute has a type that allows switching between its values.

On the catalog page in the list of products, you will be able to see the quantity of products in the inventory. In this case, the primary quantity is the quantity from the "Texts" tab (10).

However, if you configure it to use the quantity from the attributes, the total quantity from the attributes (15) will be displayed instead.

Display of availability and quantity on the product page

On the "Design" - "Template Design Settings" - "Product Page", there is a toggle "Show remainig stock", which controls whether your clients will see the quantity of the product on its page.

If this toggle is enabled, clients will be able to see the quantity of the product on the "In Stock" label on the product page. 

If there is no stock of the product, the "In Stock" label will be changed to "Out of Stock". Furthermore, by default, the "Buy" button is not displayed for products that are out of stock.

Also by default, an out-of-stock product is displayed in the list as inactive.

Stock settings

On the "Сonfiguration" - "Stock" page, you can change the inventory settings.

General settings:

• Use the quantity from attributes instead of product quantity - if enabled, the quantity from attributes specified on the product card in the "Attributes" tab will be considered the main quantity. Note that to use the quantity from attributes, your attribute must also have a type that allows switching between its values, for example, "Dropdown".
• Display out-of-stock products with an "In Stock" status - if enabled, products that are out of stock will still be displayed to customers as "In Stock".
• Display out-of-stock item attribute as active - if a product's specific attribute value is out of stock, enabling this toggle will still allow you to select this value on the product page.
• Display out-of-stock combination of product attributes as active - if a product with a group of attributes is out of stock, enabling this toggle will still display the group as active to the customer.

In the product:

• Show "Buy" button if the item is missing - if this toggle is enabled, the "Buy" button will be displayed for out-of-stock products.
• Show "Buy" button when there is no product attribute - similar to the previous toggle, but the availability information will be taken from the attributes.
• Show "Buy" button if there is no product attribute combination - similar to the previous toggles, but the availability information will be taken from the combination of attributes in the group.

In the basket:

• Check if the products in the cart is in stock - if the toggle is enabled, when attempting to order more products than are available, a warning will appear in the cart.
• Allow checkout with a product that is out of stock - if the toggle is enabled, customers will be able to order products that are out of stock.
• Mark product out of stock - here you can specify a mark that will appear in the cart next to the product that is insufficient in quantity to order.

When placing an order:

• Subtract stock when buying - if the toggle is enabled, the quantity of the purchased product will be automatically deducted from the inventory balance when an order is placed.
• Disable redeemed products - the toggle determines whether products that have run out will be automatically disabled.
• Send a message to the admins when the product is left in stock less than - the toggle determines at what product quantity the administrator will be notified that the product is running low.
