If you have a website, we very much hope that you are actively using Google Analytics, analyzing your actions, increasing the brand's success.
If you actively use, but do not know why, then welcome to our blog!
We will be happy to tell you about the basics of working with GA to help you understand what your target audience is and analyze its actions on the site. Knowing this, you can learn to involve potential buyers much better, and earn more, respectively.
Let's start with the most important - reports. To analyze data in Google Analytics, you need to understand what kind of data we can get from reports. This means that right now we will create our personal report and analyze the parameters.
Any report in your Google Analytics account is built from two options: metrics and parameters.
Indicators - values based on the number of: clicks on the image, visitors, percentage of new visitors, etc.
Parameters are values: city, name of the publication, from which device the user came, etc.
Now create your personal report in Google Analytics.
An example would be a report on users who came from social networks. Below we will create other reports, but the first steps will be shown on this option.
In the report we leave only the most important.
1. Click on the link and go to your GA account.
Next: “My Reports” tab → click “Add Report”.
2. Next: call the report in the "Report Structure" → specify the type "Analysis".
3. Going down below, in the “Groups of Indicators” and “Parameter Analysis” blocks we select the following indicators-parameters.
4. In the "Filters" set up exceptions (not set). This is the traffic that Google Analytics cannot determine.
5. Creating reports is easy, so that's all. Click on “save” and the personal report is ready!
6. Reports of own production are in the section "My Reports".
When you click on any of the social networks - we go to the tab, where you can see the city visitors.
With this report we can see which social networks are popular with our company, where advertising works correctly and visitors from which cities spend more / less time on the site.
In the likeness of the previous, we will create a report "Efficiency cpc".
The purpose of this report is to determine the efficiency of paid traffic, in terms of the cost of conversion and the percentage of conversion.
And the third option "Simple ecommerce-report"
Convenient report that allows you to compare income and purchases with attendance in the context of traffic sources.
Now you can view and create reports that are right for you. After reading can not be burned! We draw conclusions for the benefit of your business!
