This case study will present the journey of an online store that moved from the Russian Bitrix24 platform to the Ukrainian SoloMono platform. This decision was driven by the need for better technical support, better local support and security (both user and payment data). But the main reason for the move was Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, abandoning Russian and switching to Ukrainian software.
The migration process involved closing the online store on Bitrix24 and opening it on SoloMono.
The closure on Bitrix24 took place in February 2022. The client approached us in early 2023.

For the site we used the Laptops template, it was optimally suited for software and covered all the client's needs. The catalog was placed on the top and left, in both cases there are drop-down subcategories.
The product card is as informative as possible. The following features were added:
Filtering has been created in the catalog. Users can sort software by price, brand, license type. Information pages User Agreement, Privacy Policy, Security Policy of transferring payment card details were added.

In the process of promotion we faced the problem of duplicate product cards. For example, for Eset Internet Security program we had a lot of cards with different versions. It didn't make sense to collect certain clusters for such a large number of versions because of the lack of user requests.
In the process of collecting the semantic kernel, we also realized the intentions of users. Most of the requests were not aimed at purchasing, but were aimed at downloading pirated software. This segment was not suitable for us.
Due to the large number of products, variation of versions of the same software, two language versions of the online store, as well as the complex structure of the catalog was a lot of duplicate Title and Description. We needed a quick solution to unique meta tags.
The problem of duplicate products with different software versions was solved by gluing product cards into one. That is, when going to the product card, the user has the opportunity to select the necessary version. On the card itself was written a large text with key queries with a large tail.

The problem of duplicate Title and Description meta tags was solved with the help of our SEO templates module. The module helps to create templates with constants (name of section, subsection, store, product, etc.). Thus, by creating templates for the main categories you can uniquely customize the meta tags of all subcategories and products that are in these main categories.
We will not talk about connecting the site to analytics services or the process of collecting semantic kernel, but we will talk about creating pages for tags.
Landing pages were created for search queries on the site. Priority was given to programs with high and medium frequency of queries. For each such page we wrote informative SEO text that fully disclosed the topic and answered common questions of users, as well as created unique meta tags. In this way we attracted the attention of both ordinary users and entrepreneurs who were looking for software for companies. Looking for an answer to a question customers bought keys and licenses.
To redirect the weight to these pages - we placed links from the Home page, and also began to buy links from third-party sites. When buying links, we especially pay attention to the quality of the site and its DA. Our team of copywriters writes texts that are placed on the sites. The result of such work was observed in 2-3 months depending on the competitiveness of the key query.
